The Treasure of Montecristo Island

THE LEGEND. The Island of Montecristo became a refuge for Catholic monks in 510 A.D. Peace reigned until the island was raided in 1629 by pirate captains Red Beard and Dragut; spurred by rumors carried over ocean and continent and century that the monks harbored a massive treasure. The pirates pillaged the island but found nothing but an aging colony of Holy Men. Despite their failure, the treasure of Montecristo Island became an enduring legend. Many have sought it. None have found a trace. In fact, no clue of the treasure’s location had been found until now…

OBJECTIVE. The objective of The Treasure of Montecristo Island is to survive together as a team long enough to find the treasure, avoid the Thief, and escape the island.

WINNING AND LOSING THE GAME. The game is over when all living players return to their ship in the northwest with the treasure OR the Thief escapes to their ship in the southeast with the treasure.
